Diseases of the Nervous System in Infancy, Childhood and Adolescence

This book is a timely contribution to the field of neurology in infancy and childhood. Besides the subjects of strictly neurologic interest the author has included neurologic complications of general diseases, so that it is encyclopedic in scope. In the first part the examination of the nervous system and clinical aspects of the anatomy and physiology of the nervous system are concisely handled. Only essential data are presented and at the end of each discussion is a well selected bibliographic reference by which the reader may extend his interest. Most of the references given are those which are written in English. The succeeding chapters deal with neurologic disturbances classified on the basis of etiology and presented in a manner that stresses the clinical features of the disorders.
