Examinations for Government Positions
The U. S. Civil Service Commission announces examinations for positions in the U. S. Public Health Service (venereal disease control and industrial hygiene), in the Indian Medical Service in the United States and in Alaska, and in the Veterans' Administration. To become eligible, applicants must qualify in one of the following branches and must state in their applications the branch or branches desired: cardiology, cancer diagnosis and treatment, eye, ear, nose and throat (singly or combined), urology, internal medicine and diagnosis, neuropsychiatry, pathology and bacteriology, roentgenology, surgery (general, chest and orthopedic), tuberculosis, venereal disease, industrial medicine and general practice. Applicants must not have reached their thirty-fifth birthday on the date of the close of the receipt of applications and must be in sound physical health.
