My purpose in this paper is to emphasize the coresponsibility of the educator and the physician in meeting the needs of the hard of hearing school child.
The possession of normal hearing acuity is necessary for a normal growth in intelligence, the acquisition of articulate speech, the development of a personality capable of winning success, and the attainment and preservation of one's economic and social security.
