ALABAMA 

State Provides Drugs for Venereal Diseases.—  As a part of its campaign against syphilis, the state department of health will distribute without charge drugs for the treatment of venereal diseases. Heretofore this service has been available only for the treatment of indigent persons, newspapers reported

ARKANSAS 

Changes in Health Department.—  Dr. Arthur M. Washburn has been placed in charge of the division of communicable disease control of the state department of health, Little Rock, and Dr. Doyle W. Fulmer, Benton, of the division of malarial control, it is reported. Both physicians recently returned from Harvard University Medical School, Boston, where they took a year's graduate work on leave of absence from the state department. Dr. Washburn graduated from Rush Medical College, Chicago, in 1917, and formerly served as health officer of the city of Blytheville and Mississippi County. Dr. Fulmer graduated at the University of Arkansas School of Medicine
