Books on the feeding and care of children are myriad, and the mother is confronted with the problem of which of the numerous texts to follow. This one, written to meet the needs of mothers as well as of trained nurses for material on infant care, will probably fulfil this function as well as any other. The material has been revised, and additional chapters on behavior in early childhood and on dentistry have been added. The information is conveniently arranged and is easily followed. Occasional errors have crept into the text, such as the statement that "an umbilical hernia is, in most cases, outgrown" or that "an inguinal hernia may be relieved by hot applications over the affected part."
