The x-ray department of St. Bartholomew's Hospital, London, under the direction of Dr. N. S. Finzi, presents in this report a summary of the work on supervoltage x-ray therapy for the five years ended in 1942. After this five year trial with a million volt x-ray equipment the author presents this interim report with the hope that the information contained will be helpful to others planning the establishment of radiotherapeutic centers.
A critical assessment of its value is not yet possible, but certain observations are made available, so that this work is a veritable mine of information regarding the technical installation and management of supervoltage x-ray equipment.
