QUINACRINE (ATABRINE) IS SATISFACTORY IN MALARIA CONTROL  An official report from the Board for the Coordination of Malarial Studies on the use of atabrine in the prevention and treatment of malaria appears on page 977. It answers the questions which have been in the minds of many physicians relative to the comparative advantages and disadvantages of quinine, totaquine and quinacrine (atabrine). The postwar world, with the knowledge now available about this drug and on methods of malaria prevention, should be able to eliminate malaria from every civilized nation. That would be, indeed, a blessing derived from the most destructive and costly war the world has ever known.
