Sheldon and Eleanor Glueck are probably the leading experts on the prediction of future behavior in criminals and juvenile delinquents. They have made a scale for predicting behavior which is apparently quite worth while, and they have studied the careers of many offenders who have served time in institutions for adult and juvenile offenders of both sexes. At the end of each five year period since the beginning of their studies they have submitted a report on the value of penologic treatment of one sort or another, and the present volume is the report on the third five year period.
