ABSTRACT

The author has condensed a considerable amount of literature and his own ideas into this book in such a way as to give a large amount of information with few words and little space. The chapter on current, apparatus and protection covers these subjects adequately for all practical purposes. The second chapter, on measuring instruments, indirect and direct, also gives a sufficient amount of information for the use of these instruments. The chapter on conditions affecting the skin dosage is well covered. The chapter on the depth dose percentage and the standard of technics, along with the isodose charts, gives one a clear working knowledge of the dosages and their use. The chapters on the effect of x-rays on tissues, along with the conditions in which roentgen therapy is most frequently used, cover these subjects briefly but to the point.
