—Dr. Harry T. Southworth, Prescott, was elected president of the Arizona Public Health Association at the annual meeting, April 17.—Dr. Robert Ferguson, Bisbee, has been made chief surgeon at the Copper Queen Hospital, succeeding Dr. George A. Bridge.
Unique Plan for Graduate Study.
—The Yavapai County Medical Society and the medical officers at Fort Whipple held their annual banquet, March 26, to celebrate the close of their graduate study course (The Journal, June 9, 1928, p. 1876). The winning group comprised Drs. Southworth, John W. and Robert S. Flinn, Devine, Sullivan, Thomas, McWhirt, Bassett, Hazel, Matschke and Linn. The average attendance for all groups taking part in the graduate study for the year was 97.8 per cent.
