MEDICAL BILLS IN CONGRESS 

Changes in Status.—  S. 1509 has been reported to the Senate with recommendation that it pass, providing for the education and training of members of the armed forces and the Merchant Marine after their discharge or conclusion of service. Such education and training may be given in public or private elementary, secondary and other schools furnishing education for adults, business schools and colleges, scientific and technical institutions, colleges, vocational schools, junior colleges, teachers' colleges, normal schools and professional schools and universities. Provision is made too for apprentice or other training on the job. H. R. 1506 has passed the House, proposing further to amend the Pay Readjustment Act of 1942. This bill, among other things, would permit service in the Medical Reserve Corps to be counted for pay purposes. H. J. Res. 208 has passed the House and Senate and has been transmitted
