Unlicensed Practitioner Fined.
— Francis Hannon, Los Angeles, pleaded guilty to a charge of practicing medicine without a license, July 28. Hannon had been employed as a painter at the General Hospital but represented himself as a physician to patients and accepted money to treat them. He was arrested after the patients had complained that they had received no benefit from his "treatments." Hannon received a suspended $100 fine and was placed on probation for six months.
