ABSTRACT

This is the seventh volume of a series of monographic atlases. The long and varied experience of Dr. Young assures the high character of the explanatory text, which covers this field of roentgenology in a most complete and satisfying manner. Numerous diagrams from actual cases supplement the brilliant roentgenograms, which have great value as a teaching collection as well as for reference. The first chapter, on the combined roentgenologic and urologic study of the genito-urinary tract, is replete with valuable illustrations, and the technical details of urologic study are discussed in a most satisfactory way. In this chapter are discussed, among other methods, the technic of pyelography, perirenal insufflation of oxygen, pyeloscopy, and fluoroscopy during operations on the kidney. The technic of cystography is described, as well as the injection of the seminal vesicles through the ejaculatory duct.
