—Although an invitation to apply for membership in the International Congress of Ophthalmology, which will meet in Amsterdam and Scheveningen, Sept. 5-13, 1929, has been sent by the Holland committee to each ophthalmologist listed in the Directory of the American Medical Association, I am informed that a number of such invitations have not reached their proper destination. I shall therefore be much obliged to you if you will publish in an early issue of The Journal the following directions:An international ophthalmologic congress will be held in Amsterdam and The Hague (Scheveningen), Sept. 5-13, 1929.Any member desiring to read a paper at this congress should prior to June 1, 1929, send an abstract, containing the principal conclusions, to the secretary, Prof. Dr. Zeeman.No communication on any subject will be admitted unless the respective abstract has been received by Professor Zeeman not later than June 1,
