NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PLANNING POSTWAR MEDICAL SERVICES  On March 15 at the Waldorf-Astoria, New York, will be held the National Conference on Planning for War and Postwar Medical Services, under the auspices of the Carlos Finlay Institute of the Americas. Cooperating in holding the conference are the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American College of Surgeons, the American Drug Manufacturers Association, the American Hospital Association, the American Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association, the American Pharmaceutical Association, the American Surgical Trade Association, the Wholesale Surgical Trade Association and the National Physicians Committee for the Extension of Medical Service.The announcement of the conference explains that "There is an urgent need to mobilize the leaders of the medical profession and of the supporting industries for planning of postwar medical services."The Carlos Finlay Institute of the Americas was organized a year ago¹ in Havana,
