These two pamphlets are a transcript of the organization meeting of the International League Against Cancer. The first International Cancer Congress originated at the suggestion of the late Dr. Harvey R. Gaylord of the State Institute for the Study of Malignant Disease, at Buffalo. As Professor Czerny had just opened his institute for cancer investigation in Heidelberg, and Prof. Paul Ehrlich the institute for experimental therapy in Frankfort, the meeting was held in September 1906 at Heidelberg and Frankfort. The congress was attended by representative clinical and laboratory students of cancer. Obviously, as the meeting was held in Germany, the members were predominantly German, but representatives from England, France, the United States and other countries were present. Every aspect of the subject was considered, scientific research, treatment both by surgery and radiation, and statistics. Among the famous men present now no longer living were Jensen, Metchnikoff, Pozzi, Waldeyer, Czerny and
