Meeting on Nutrition.—
Helen S. Mitchell, Ph.D., director of nutrition for the Federal Security Agency, Washington, D. C., was the speaker at a conference of representatives of professional groups of Southern California, November 12, under the auspices of the state nutrition for defense committee and the nutrition committees of the Southern California counties. Dr. Mitchell was formerly research professor of nutrition at Massachusetts State College, Amherst, Mass.
FLORIDA
New County Health Unit.—
Okaloosa and Walton counties have set up a full time health service. The two units will be operated independently with separate staffs but will be under the supervision of Dr. Charles W. McDonald, Marianna, who will divide his time between the two counties, newspapers reported.
