ABSTRACT

THE INDEX NUMBER  This issue of The Journal contains the index covering the numbers from January through June. Because of the length of the index and the vast amount of material included in this period, it is necessary to omit from this issue some of the departments that are usually included. It is, moreover, impossible, because of the limitations on our space, to make adequate comment on some of the important actions taken by the House of Delegates of the American Medical Association at the annual session. It is proposed, however, to call specific attention in forthcoming issues to many of these important actions and to emphasize particularly economic problems which the House of Delegates feels should be brought prominently to the attention of the profession.
