The Medical Congresses
October is the month of medical congresses. In Paris one or two are held every week. Others are held in the large cities of the provinces. The French Congress of Gynecology opened the series in Lyons. There were three main questions on the program: (1) the diagnosis and the surgical treatment of sterility of uterine and tubal origin; (2) the indications for the interruption of pregnancy, and (3) the separation of the mother and the new-born, and the means of avoiding it.
STERILITY OF UTERINE AND TUBAL ORIGIN
The main paper on the diagnosis and the surgical treatment of sterility of uterine and tubal origin was presented by M. Chatillon of Geneva and M. Douay of Paris.
