—Telegraphic reports to the department of commerce from sixty-seven cities with a total population of about 30 million, for the week ending February 26, indicate that the highest mortality rate (23.1) was for San Diego, and that the mortality rate for the group of cities was 13.9. The mortality rate for San Diego for the corresponding week last year was 25.6, and for the group of cities, 15.8.
