Illegal Practitioner Jailed.
— Augustin Ocampo, Los Angeles, was arrested, November 5, on a charge of practicing medicine without a license. He pleaded guilty in municipal court, was sentenced to 180 days in jail and is now serving the sentence. January 10, he pleaded guilty on two counts to violation of the state medical practice act and was given a thirty day suspended sentence on each count. Ocampo claimed that he practiced in the city of Mexico for twelve years, coming to California in 1929.
