—At the annual meeting of the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, April 27-30, Dr. Aaron L. Harlan, Alexander City, was elected president; Drs. George A. Vaccination in Los Angeles.
—More than 300,000 persons were vaccinated against smallpox by the Los Angeles City Department of Health between January 1 and March 6; of this number at least 120,000 were pupils in the public schools; 65,000 employees in industry, and 5,000 inmates of institutions.
