ABSTRACT

The Course in Hygiene Organized by the Red Cross Society  The Italian Red Cross Society plans to organize, February 1, its fourth course in hygiene and medical child welfare work in the Emilio Maraini antituberculosis preventorium in Rome. The object of the course is to demonstrate to physicians the modern technic of child hygiene and child welfare. The course will be conducted by Professor Valagussa, director of the preventorium, and will extend over four months, at the end of which time those who have attended will be given a diploma, and, in addition, prizes will be bestowed on those who did especially good work. The Red Cross will regard the diploma as entitling the holder to special consideration in the selection of personnel to aid in carrying out the educational campaign that it expects to launch later.
