—Dr. Harry Spiro addressed the San Francisco County Medical Society, October 14, on "Modern Diagnosis and Treatment of Heart Disease," and Dr. Ernst Gehrels on "Gastric Surgery." The October number of California and Western Medicine publishes a list of about two pages of the names of physicians, and the subjects on which they have volunteered to speak in the extension service of the state medical society.
