Industrial Medicine
The Bruxelles médical carries an article by Dr. Paul Sollier in which he points out that the creation of an "industrial medicine," adapted to the needs of the army of industrial workers, is just as much of a necessity as "military medicine," "naval medicine" and "colonial medicine." The "industrial physician," too, should possess the variety of knowledge that industrial medicine requires: general medicine, occupational diseases, occupational accidents and safety measures (legislation, administrative regulations, means of technical prevention), psychotechnics, physiology of labor, industrial hygiene. In other words, the industrial physician must be physician, physiologist, psychologist, psychotechnician and hygienist. He must have, furthermore, clear ideas of laws and regulations (protection, insurance, indemnification for diseases and accidents, disabilities and the like). Finally, he should have (and these qualities are not always so easily found incorporated in one individual) an interest in industrial labor, in the problems to which it gives rise,
