Carcinoma, sarcoma, hypernephroma and mixed tumors of the kidney are described systematically, including pathology and the various clinical manifestations. The various types of malignancy involving the pelvis, the ureter, the paranephritic tissues and the suprarenal are then taken up in a similar manner. No cases are cited, but comparative statistics from the literature are frequently included in the text, and the authority for important statements is referred to. There are several good illustrations. There are no pyelograms, which are important in the diagnosis. Little discussion is given to the use of the roentgen ray or radium. Without offering anything original, the work is an admirable review of the literature, particularly from the standpoint of pathology.
