ABSTRACT

To the Editor:  —I have been impressed with the very encouraging work for the cure of leprosy which is being done in the two leper stations under my care—Kwangju and Fusan, Korea. I am in the United States this year for my regular year of absence. While in this country I am anxious to extend to as many people as possible an opportunity to help in this splendid service for humanity.Naturally, my mind goes out to my colleagues in the medical profession as the ones who will best understand the scope and importance of the work from a physical standpoint, and I feel that if they knew of some of our pressing needs, many of them would be glad to cooperate in supplying these.I have made a list of some of the apparatus and supplies of which we stand in need: two microscopes; surgical instruments of all kinds;
