International Intellectual Cooperation and the League of Nations
In previous letters I have referred to the origin, membership and plans of the commission on international intellectual cooperation, which was appointed by the League of Nations (The Journal, June 10, 1922, p. 1828; July 29, 1922, p. 492, and Sept. 2, 1922, p. 836). Three committees appointed by the commission are holding a session in Paris at present; namely, the committee on bibliography, the committee on matters pertaining to universities, and the committee delegated to study into the question of intellectual ownership.The committee on bibliography is engaged in the coordination of bibliographic enterprises undertaken in the various countries, with a view to avoiding duplication of effort and assuring to scientists and investigators the advantages of a complete bibliography easily accessible. The committee on university matters is dealing with various questions relative to the organization of the international congress of universities.
