Poison Act Violation Charged.
—Four additional charges of violation of the State Poison Act were said to have been placed against Dr. Paul R. Lanz, Oakland, October 1, by operatives of the Pharmacy Board. The complainants alleged that Dr. Lanz forged their names to prescriptions used by him to obtain narcotics from the local drug stores. Dr. Lanz was released under bonds of $6,000.

Army, who commanded Base Hospital No. 35, Los Angeles, has been cited by General Pershing for "exceptional meritorious and conspicuous service, overseas."—Dr. Etta G.
