Section Officers.
—At the annual meeting of the Illinois State Medical Society, Dr. Wesley H. Peck, Evanston, was elected chairman of the eye, ear, nose and throat section, and Dr. Frank Allport, Chicago, was elected secretary of the section.
Vaccination Rule to Be Enforced.
—On account of the increasing epidemic of smallpox throughout Illinois, the officials of the state board of health are urging stringent enforcement of the vaccination rule. The board suggests that every person not previously vaccinated within a five-year period be vaccinated. A prevention and treatment propaganda by means of moving picture films for use in all theaters has been started by the state department of health.
