MEDICAL EDUCATION IN COLORADO
Early in the present year an agreement was made to merge the Denver and Gross College of Medicine, of Denver, with the University of Colorado School of Medicine, the latter school being located at Boulder. By the terms of the merger the work of the first two years would be continued at Boulder, but the work of the clinical years would be conducted at Denver, where better hospital facilities were obtainable. Before such an arrangement could be made, however, it was necessary to secure an amendment to the state constitution, which specifically stated that all the work of the state university should be conducted in Boulder. An amendment, therefore, providing that "all but the first two years of the departments of medicine, dentistry and pharmacy" might be conducted at Denver, was submitted to the people at the recent election.
