I recommend a careful study of the entire report to all physicians interested in the subject. The final section on treament is full of helpful suggestions. The German translation of the report has just been published.

Let me hope that my colleague in this symposium has recommended that during this stage the treatment be similar to that employed at the onset of other acute infectious diseases.

No physician would be in danger of following the example of an Eddyite practitioner who insisted that a child with a poliomyelitic leg be put in the middle of the room and be made to stand, with the result of its falling in a heap and fracturing its thigh.
