In the Original Contribution entitled "Statewide System of Electronic Notifiable Disease Reporting From Clinical Laboratories: Comparing Automated Reporting With Conventional Methods" published in the November 17, 1999, issue of THE JOURNAL (1999;282:1845-1850), an error was made in calculating the 95% confidence intervals (CIs) presented in Table 1 on page 1847. Correction of the CIs did not change the statistical significance of any of the findings. Several other numerical errors in the table were identified. In the "Results" section of the abstract, the CIs in the final sentence should read "75\%-85\%" instead of "77\%-82\%" and "36\%-41\%" instead of "37\%-39\%." No modifications to other results or comments included in the article are necessary. The correct numbers and explanatory text are provided in Table 1 and footnotes.
