In the Medical News & Perspectives entitled “HIV Study Shines Spotlight on Women,” published in the July 21, 2010, issue of JAMA (2010;304[3]:257-258), there was an error in the frequency of testing listed. On page 257, third column, second full paragraph, the first sentence should read “Twice per year, women in the study (which is conducted at 6 clinical sites, in the Bronx and Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Washington, DC) undergo detailed and structured interviews, physical examinations, including gynecologic examinations, and laboratory testing.”
