Adams and Victor’s Principles of Neurology

This is one of the best neurology textbooks available, providing the distilled insights and knowledge of some of today's truly outstanding neurologic clinicians. The original textbook was published in 1977, with 4 subsequent editions through 1993, under the authorship of Raymond Adams and Maurice Victor. Adams wrote the first draft longhand, and Victor then provided his input. Subsequent volumes have been capably edited and expanded, beginning with the involvement of Allan Ropper for the sixth edition in 1997. The current edition continues under Ropper's stewardship, with the addition of Martin Samuels as coeditor. Ropper and Samuels are both well-regarded authorities in general neurology, with additional expertise in neurointensive care and internal medicine. Adams, who died in 2008, and Victor, who died in 2001, can rest comfortably, knowing they have left their masterpiece in the hands of such capable colleagues.
