Incorrect Number in Abstract: In the Review entitled “Strength of Study Evidence Examined by the FDA in Premarket Approval of Cardiovascular Devices,” published in the December 23/30, 2009, issue of JAMA (2009;302[24]:2679-2685), a sentence in the abstract reported an incorrect number. On page 2679, the abstract section “Data Sources and Study Selection” should have read “Systematic review of 78 summaries of safety and effectiveness data for 78 PMAs for high-risk cardiovascular devices that received PMA between January 2000 and December 2007.”
