This is a superb guide to the surgical care of the pediatric upper extremity. Peter Waters, of the Children's Hospital of Boston, has been at the forefront of treatment of the pediatric upper extremity for some time. He has written many important articles on the issues related to this treatment, so it is no surprise that this textbook would be well realized.
The book covers a wide range of upper extremity disorders, including congenital abnormalities, sports injuries, tumors, and neuromuscular disorders, including brachial plexus injuries. A large and detailed section is devoted to trauma. The entire upper extremity is covered, from sternoclavicular trauma to fingertip injuries.
