Experience in this laboratory with various methods of control of tumor implantation following spillage of Brown-Pearce tumor in operations on the rabbit colon made this seem an appropriate experimental tool to study the role of nitrogen mustard in controlling tumor spread.

In 38 paired experiments, the peritoneal cavity was irrigated with either saline or nitrogen mustard after the tumor was injected. Tumor
