ABSTRACT

This book represents an up-to-date summary of knowledge in the field of hypertension. The papers are presented by the participants of the Second Hahnemann Symposium on Hypertensive Diseases. The list of contributing authors is an impressive one; their material spans the natural history, etiology, and pharmacology of hypertension, and the interrelationship of hypertension and atherosclerosis. The amount of material presented is massive and obviously authoritative and benefits from the fact that the comments of the other participants are included with the articles.

This book is recommended for anyone who has a serious and detailed interest in hypertension. It is recommended to students only when a knowledge of the disease has been acquired first from standard sources.
