Review of Medical Microbiology. By Ernest Jawetz, Joseph L. Melnick, and Edward A. Adelberg. 6th ed. 453 pp, with illus. Paper. $6. Lange Medical Publications, Los Altos, Calif, 1964
Authors and publisher deserve congratulations on a lucid, comprehensive, well-written text. It admirably achieves its objective: a brief, accurate, up-to-date account of microbiology for students, residents, and practitioners. Basic science aspects receive considerable attention, and there is special concern with clinical infections and chemotherapy.
