Falls B. Hershey, MD, associate professor of surgery at Washington University, St. Louis, has been named full-time chairman of the division of surgery at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago. Hershey will also hold the rank of professor in the department of surgery at Chicago Medical School.James E. Baker, MD, chief of staff of the Veterans Administration Hospital in Northampton, Mass, has been appointed an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry on the faculty of Albany Medical College. Baker will continue his affiliation with the Northampton hospital and will pursue his Albany teaching duties on a parttime basis.David M. Engelhardt, MD, has been appointed director of the psychiatric treatment research center at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn. Engelhardt, professor of psychiatry at Downstate, for many years has served as supervising psychiatrist for the City of New York at Kings County Hospital.
