The second edition of Foetal and Neonatal Pathology will interest all who are concerned with wastage of the fetus and newborn—principally pediatricians, obstetricians, workers in child health clinics, and pathologists. The material of the classic first edition, which has not been available in this country for some years, has now been updated by Dr. J. Edgar Morison of Belfast, with selected references as recent as 1963. To some it will seem that the strength of the scholarly work will lie as much in the attitudes and judgments presented as in the factual data brought together, for these judgments far transcend a static description of pathological anatomy.
