Fifteen consultants have been named to the Board of Directors of the American Medical Association —Educational and Research Foundation and Committee of Scientific Advisers of the Institute for Biomedical Research.
They include Keith R. Porter, PhD, professor of biology at Harvard University, who was named joint winner with George E. Palade, MD, of Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research of the 1964 Passano Award. The award from the Passano Foundation, which was presented June 22 at the Mark Hopkins Hotel, is designed to encourage medical science and research—particularly in those categories that show good possibility toward clinical application.
