A discussion of Joint Planning of Patient Care by Physicians and Nurses in the Hospital and Home will be held during the American Medical Association Annual Convention in San Francisco.
The 90-minute discussion, sponsored by the AMA Committee on Nursing, will be held Wednesday afternoon, June 24, in the San Francisco Civic Auditorium.
A formal paper on the subject will be presented by Jeanne C. Quint, RN, assistant research sociologist at the University of California Medical Center, San Francisco. Members of a "reacting panel" then will offer their views on the topic.
Panel members will be Jean Barrett, RN, professor of nursing at Yale University School of Nursing, New Haven, Conn; Edmund D. Pellegrino, MD, chairman of the Department of Medicine, University of Kentucky Medical Center, Louisville; Doris R. Schwartz, RN, assistant professor of public health nursing at New York Hospital School of Nursing; and George G. Reader, professor of medicine at New York Hospital.
