To the Members of the House of Delegates of the American Medical Association:The following annual report of the Secretary is respectfully submitted:
Membership
Within the last five years the membership of the American Medical Association was increased by more than 15,000. Toward the end of the year 1939 there were slightly more than 115,000 names on the membership list. On March 1, 1940, the number of enrolled members was 115,381, representing a gain of 3,171 since the same date in 1939.
