SUGGESTED SCHOOL HEALTH POLICIES

FOREWORD The following report on school health policies is submitted to school superintendents, health officers, school physicians and nurses, directors of health and physical education, practicing physicians and dentists, and others interested in school health programs as a preliminary report for study, criticism and discussion. During the process of its preparation, helpful suggestions have been received from many sources and a number of professional groups have used it for group discussions.In all, eight different national groups or committees have had some contact with or are interested in "Sug' gested School Health Policies." These groups are listed alphabetically together with a brief statement of their action:

American Association for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (a department of the National Education Association). "Suggested School Health Policies" was submitted to the president of this organization in October 1939, and during March and April 1940 several district meetings
