ABSTRACT

Robinson presents a small textbook on dermatology which he states is "intended as an aid to the beginner in the study of dermatology (1) by helping him acquire a knowledge of the fundamentals of skin diseases, and (2) by showing how one may learn to recognize and diagnose the commoner diseases of this field." In his introduction he gives in a succinct manner a review of the "high spots" in dermatology with pertinent excerpts from some of the classic articles of the last decade. Since the work is intended as a small textbook on dermatology, the accounts are brief and there is no bibliography. There are forty-four pages on syphilis, and the subject on the whole is excellently treated. The illustrations are reproduced with a fair degree of accuracy.
