New State Officers.
—The forty-third annual meeting of the Arkansas Medical Society was held in Little Rock, May 20 to 22, under the presidency of Dr. Edward F. Ellis, Fayetteville, and the following officers were elected: president, Dr. George S. Brown, Conway; vice presidents, Drs. Charles E. Kitchens, Dequeen; Aaron L. Carmichael, Little Rock, and R. E. Cooksey, Magnolia; secretary, Dr. Clinton P. Meriwether, Little Rock (reelected); treasurer, Dr. William R. Bathurst, Little Rock (reelected).

—The governor has just approved a bill passed by the legislature authorizing the State Board of Medical Examiners to return annual fees to physicians collected during the time they were in the national service.
