These 2 volumes discuss macrodevelopments and microdevelopments in epidemiology. Editor Mukesh Verma has drawn together previously published articles by hundreds of researchers from around the world, offering a comprehensive view of epidemiologic findings and activity, notably a developing research interest in the molecular characterization and genetics of cancer. According to the preface, the volumes compile areas of research that cover etiologic factors or determinants that contribute to the development of cancer and describe the latest technologies in cancer epidemiology. The apparent aims are to connect clinical and laboratory efforts to understand and prevent cancer.
