In Reply: I did not intend my Editorial as a critique of the work of Dr Frucht and colleagues. My intent in citing their article was only to provide a context for the work of Hobson and colleagues.1 While the case series Frucht et al reported focused attention on the issue of daytime sleepiness in patients with PD,2 it also led to confusion as to whether they should be prohibited from driving if started on a dopamine agonist.3 In contrast, the report by Hobson et al identifies some of the factors associated with daytime sleepiness, and provides valuable tools that assist the clinician in identifying patients with PD who are at risk for falling asleep while driving.1
